Teachers' Perspective on Perceived Barriers to Psychological Well-Being: A Qualitative Study in Sarawak

Globally, restructuring and reformation of the education system have led to growing stress perform among teachers. Assessing psychological well-being is vital enhancing personal growth mental wellness in teaching-learning process. The current study aimed understand subjective perspectives on perceived barriers secondary school A consensual qualitative research method was applied this study. Data collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews. To participants' narrative better, in-depth interviews were utilized examine meaning their experiences, beliefs, values. Through purposive sampling, seven teachers recruited. data analyzed using an open coding process derive themes from participants. Seven emerged study: negative parents' students' attitudes, managerial responsibilities, inadequate facilities, unsupportive colleagues, poor self-management, reputed teaching profession, discouraging experiences. highlighted practical alternative enhance teachers' well-being, health management, psychotherapy practice.
